Edouard 7 Paris
Located just steps from the Opéra Garnier theatre and Place Vendôme, with Parisian icons like the Louvre, the Jardin des Tuileries and the Galerie Lafayette, Edouard 7 was the favorite Parisian address of King Edward VII, who reigned over England in the early 1900s.
Christophe Daudré’s stylish remodelling of the hotel, which first opened in 1877, dressed this splendid Haussmann-style building with a combination of modern and traditional Edward VII styles, using rich fabrics, contemporary design pieces, and eye-catching colours, all laced together with classic French elegance.
On the second floor, there’s a fitness center open 24/7, and guests can also enjoy a range of relaxing massages and beauty treatments by local brand ‘Mon Masseur’ from the privacy of their room.
Food & Drink
Lunch and dinner (Monday to Friday only) are served in the hotel’s elegant restaurant, ‘La Cuisine de l’E7’, where interesting artworks add glamour to the dining experience. Head chef David Braido uses seasonal produce to prepare dishes that combine tradition and innovation. In summer, seating sprawls out onto a cute outdoor terrace overlooking the Avenue de l’Opéra.
The attractive lounge bar E7 is open all day and serves excellent cocktails to pair with sweet and savoury snacks.
Rooms
Designed with both leisure travellers and corporate guests in mind, the hotel’s 69 rooms and suites (some with a balcony) feature an attractive decor inspired by the irresistible charisma of Edward VII. This includes laminate wood flooring, marbles, contemporary prints, and luxe elements like velvet wallpaper, intricate embroideries and beautiful glass desks designed by Christophe Daudré.
Bold splashes of colour inject further personality into the space, while poetic notes on the walls add a romantic touch. In-room amenities include minibars, luxury toiletries, flat screens. Junior Suites and Suites are designed like spacious apartments and feature I-pod stations, Nespresso machines, as well as magical views of the city.

Points of View
Staying in Paris
Despite being the smallest of Paris’s neighbourhoods (and one of the most overlooked), the 2nd arrondissement is packed with lots of interesting things to do and see. Home to the local Stock Exchange, the area is sprinkled with fascinating hidden gems, from covered passages and marvellous theatres to lively markets and culinary institutions like Stohrer, the capital’s oldest boulangerie (founded by King Louis XV’s personal pastry chef!).
