Relais Villa Acquaviva, Saturnia
Relais Villa Acquaviva is a splendid farmhouse immersed in Maremma, a beautiful corner of southern Tuscany, close to the hot springs of Saturnia.
Such position makes it ideal for those who want a comfortable base from which to explore both the splendid Argentario coast and various historical-archaeological itineraries in the region’s interior.
Once a noble mansion, the property has been carefully restored and today it’s a family-run business that offers 25 tastefully decorated guest rooms and produces excellent wines, olive oil, jams and honey. The interiors ooze comfort and tranquillity, with supersized windows flooding the space with light, antique Tuscan furnishings and lots of cozy corners to while away a few hours with a good book.
The property is surrounded by a beautiful 34-hectare park filled with beds of lavender, aromatic herbs and fruit trees, perfect for delightful walks in nature. For those seeking rest and relaxation, there’s a marvelous hilltop swimming pool overlooking the nearby medieval hamlet of Montemerano, while sporty types can practice their serve in the hotel’s tennis court. On-site massage services are also offered.
Food & Drink
La Limonaia, Villa Acquaviva’s on-site restaurant, sits in a panoramic position right at the center of the park and offers a flavour of the region’s gastronomic culture. The menu changes according to the season and consists of genuine Tuscan dishes prepared with home-grown produce from the estate’s farm and gardens.
Guests can choose a seasonal tasting menu or pick from a la carte menu, which includes delicacies like Maremma homemade tortelli with beef ragout and rack of lamb with mint artichokes, accompanied by the excellent wines produced at the farm.
Rooms
Wrought-iron beds, floral headboards and antique pieces decorate the rooms at Villa Acquaviva, with some including a jacuzzi, a balcony or a private veranda. Each is equipped with a fully stocked minibar, satellite tv, telephone, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and safe.
There are five room types to choose from: French rooms, Classic rooms, Superior rooms, Deluxe rooms, and Suites.
