Evora Farm

A newly opened rural-chic hotel blending contemporary architecture with the stunning nature of Portugal’s Alentejo region. It offers two outdoor pools, a spa, a farm-to-table restaurant, and a selection of elegant rooms and villas, some with their own private pool.

The Évora Farm Hotel & Spa is a modern retreat set in an 11-hectare park amid the open plains of Alentejo. Clean geometric lines and dazzling all-white façades characterise this hotel, where contemporary architecture blends with nature to provide an authentic refuge to get away from it all. The design incorporates elements from the region such as wood, basketry, and the typical blue and white décor, thus giving guests a real sense of place.

Relaxation is taken seriously at Evora Farm Hotel. Guests have 24-hour access to two outdoor swimming pools (one is adults only) and a gym, and there’s a spa complete with sauna, indoor pool, Turkish bath, and treatments rooms. The grounds surrounding the property are dotted with delightful footpaths and spaces designed to enjoy nature, and the hotel also organises a number of activities to keep younger travellers entertained, including visits to the animals at the onsite educational farm and yoga sessions specially designed for kids.

The hotel is about 90 minutes from Lisbon airport and only a short drive from the ancient town of Évora, the UNESCO-listed capital of the Alentejo. It’s also close to some of the region’s top attractions, including megalithic sites, castles, and the largest artificial lake in Europe, Lake Alqueva.

Food & Drink

Guests get a taste of authentic products from the Alentejo region at onsite restaurant À Terra, which serves a seasonally changing menu. Products are gathered entirely from its network of local suppliers and its own vegetable garden. It hosts a popular brunch on Sundays and can also organise picnics on the plains and scenic alfresco dinners at the Chef’s table in the vegetable garden.

Breakfast is available at any time of the day and offers a rich selection of pastries, cereals, cured meats, and cheeses. Throughout the day, the hotel’s bar serves drinks and snacks in the gorgeous outdoor lounge.

Rooms

The dialogue with nature continues in the hotel’s 56 rooms, designed to blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor space. All have large windows with balconies or terraces that visually capture guests with magical views of the hotel’s grounds and the surroundings, while interiors are decorated in light tones and natural materials to convey a sense of calm and peacefulness.

Guests can also choose to stay in one of the five private villas, which consist of three en-suite bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private pool.

Staying in Evora

Located south of Lisbon, Alentejo is the biggest region in Portugal yet the least populated, resulting in miles of peaceful countryside and a general laid-back atmosphere that invites to switch off. It features a varied landscape that spans from wild Atlantic beaches to scenic hills dotted with vineyards, cork trees, and historic walled towns. Alentejo is also an important wine region and its blends are renowned for their unique character.

Every trip we take contributes to build our own life story.

A story that is a patchwork of encounters, experiences and memories made while traveling. And just like fabric scraps in a quilt, every trip we take, no matter how big or long, holds its own special place in our life and contributes to shape who we are.
