Il Borro
The origins of the Il Borro village are found in the history of medieval Tuscany and the people who established the reputation of the region. Every alley, every stone speaks of a time filled with flavours and scents that bring to mind a memory of a rare and authentic Tuscany.
Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees along ancient Via dei Sette Ponti an area rich in art and culture between three main cities: Florence, Arezzo and Siena, the estate is an open window of history.
The Medici dynasty, the Savoia and now the Ferragamo family have safeguarded and preserved this precious oasis, suspended between past and present, a sanctuary dedicated to wellbeing and the art of hospitality.
Living in an ancient village is only the starting point of the magnificent experience offered by a stay at Il Borro. The ideal combination between tradition and luxury in the magnificent Tuscan countryside. Moving around the village is as simple as walking in a small town. It is possible to find artisans working with antique techniques on jewelry, shoes, textiles and ceramics.
Food & Drink
Osteria del Borro
The Osteria del Borro, a gourmet restaurant in the heart of the hamlet, offers a range of dishes meant to exalt the materials provided by small Tuscan producers and a wine list solely dedicated to the region’s vine varieties. First and foremost fresh and seasonal ingredients that come from the Estate – vegetables from the organic garden, flours of ancient grains with a low gluten content, also used to make pasta, appetizing spelt biscuits, tomato purée – products that come from small local artisans with whom the Chef has established strong ties through the years thus making local culinary art a real excellence.
Osteria del Borro offers its guests a unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience in its exclusive space, which is ideal for those who want more privacy and confidentiality. A cozy and refined space with a private kitchen and a dedicated chef: highly personalized experiences featuring a cooking show.
