Les Manoirs des Portes de Deauville
Canapville, FranceLes Manoirs is typically French style with all the features of an old manor house – tall chimneys and half-timbered exterior, indoors – exposed beams and a majestic open fireplace in the lounge, and original brick and tiled floors. The gardens provide an oasis of calm.
In the afternoons the Great Lounge is transformed into a bar, serving wine, Champagne and spirits. With a lounge and cosy seating areas all focused on the original stone open fireplace it is perfect for relaxing.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant but, in collaboration with the nearby partner restaurant “L’Auberge du Vieux Tour”, guests can order room service.
There are 27 rooms, suites and cottages. Twelve double rooms (22-30 m sq) have double or twin beds. Suites (30-47 m sq) have the addition of a double sofa bed in the lounge.
The 3 independent cottages scattered through the grounds, measuring 34 and 42 m sq, offer independence as well as the same hotel facilities (as for all rooms) and include WiFi, LCD TV, a minibar, coffee maker and kettle, and a safe. Bathrooms have a walk-in shower and hairdryer.
Guests may take breakfast in their room at no additional cost. The dècor of a warm, pale colour palette, natural fabrics, modern furniture, all enhanced by artwork, contrasts charmingly with the old Norman manor house.

The hotel is set in a historic Norman estate consisting of a manor house and nine cottages. The property retains such splendid historic features as the exposed wooden beams, the large stone fireplaces and the beautifully classic half-timbered facade.

Part of the hotel’s charm sits beyond its walls, with verdant gardens sprawling over acres of well-manicured hedges, apple trees and colourful flowering bushes, providing the perfect spot to switch off and enjoy relaxing walks or refreshing dips in the swimming pool.

Birthplace of William the Conqueror and the famous apple brandy, Calvados is a glorious corner of Normandy characterized by an attractive countryside landscape, key historic sites like the D-Day beaches of WWII, and charming coastal towns that could rival the chic resorts of the Côte d'Azur.
